Born in Brindisi, Southern Italy, in 1982, Stefano Phen’s journey into the art world began at the age of 14 when he enrolled at the Edgardo Simone Art School. Further honing his skills at the Academy of Arts in Lecce and Rome, Phen immersed himself in the local Hip Hop scene, marking the start of his career as a graffiti artist in 1997.

In 2006, he relocated to Barcelona’s vibrant, post-industrial neighborhood of Poblenou, where the city’s raw, urban energy and artistic pulse have been a constant source of inspiration. Over two decades, Phen has cultivated a distinctive style that bridges the worlds of painting, graffiti, and tattoo art.

Phen’s journey as an artist has also taken him around the globe, participating in graffiti events across Europe, Brazil, and the USA. His work has gained international recognition, being featured in numerous magazines and collaborations with iconic TV channels and brands like ADIDAS and THE NORTH FACE.

Stefano Phen’s contemporary works are a celebration of Hip Hop and funk culture, blending iconic elements like boomboxes, street basketball, classic cars, and urban landscapes. His art combines these with bold vector graphics, dynamic sketch lines, and the signature textures of fat cap traces and dripping fonts. Every piece pulses with the energy of the streets, layered with impressionist brushstrokes that create a fresh, modern aesthetic. With roots deep in graffiti culture and a passion for expressive, street-inspired art, Stefano Phen’s works are for those who appreciate the spirit of the city, the beats of Hip Hop, and the power of creative freedom.
