Born in 1962 in Hollywood, Robert is a self-taught artist and has achieved extensive experience in being the driving force behind his numerous self-founded bohemian projects. His first experiences as a one-man show- curator, director, founder, and promoter- started with the underground nightclub scene in the 80´s and 90´s in California. For 10 years, Robert founded and promoted four avant-garde clubs- Activity, Atlas, Go, and Geraldine. Geraldine, the most popular of the underground theatrical productions in a nightclub setting, lasted until 1994, when Robert began to study ceramics. Later this same year, he opened his first gallery and studio, Garage, in San Diego, California. Robert produced around 70 ceramic pieces. In 2003 he moved to Barcelona with his wife Monica to found Base Elements Urban Art Gallery and closing Garage Gallery after 9 years. To the date Base Elements has attracted urban artists from both Barcelona and all over the world and continues to grow in popularity!
